5.3.26 WHEN THE SPIRIT MOVES: Someone Is Sent
Acts 8:26–40, Isaiah 56:3–8
Dear Trinity Family & Friends,
This Sunday, we continue our series When the Spirit Moves with the message: “Someone Is Sent.” The Spirit does not only move within us, but the Spirit sends us. In Acts 8, Philip is led to a desert road, an ordinary place that becomes a sacred moment. A conversation begins, Scripture is opened, and a life is changed. What’s striking is how simple it is. The Spirit often works not through grand plans, but through attentiveness and willingness. Philip does not control the moment, but he responds to it. And that is often where faithfulness is found.
Reflect and Prepare
- Where might God be nudging you to pay attention?
- How do you recognize the Spirit’s prompting?
- What keeps you from responding?
- When have you experienced a meaningful, unexpected conversation?
- What does it mean to share faith naturally?
- Who in your life might need encouragement right now?
- How can you practice attentiveness this week?
God is already at work in the lives of people around us. The question is not whether God is moving, but whether we are paying attention. May we be people who are willing to follow where the Spirit leads.
Blessings,
Pastor Carrie
