SAINT PAUL UMC FOOD PANTRY URGENT CALL

Right now, many people in our community are experiencing food insecurity. Due to limited funding, volunteers, and food supplies, Saint Paul UMC's Carolyn’s Cupboard is currently open only one day a week. Jesus calls us to be the hands and feet that serve others, and Trinity can help by donating shelf-stable food or making a monetary donation to Food For Thought.

• Want to volunteer? St. Paul’s food pantry needs volunteers on Wednesdays from 9–11:30 am to help fill food orders. Contact Amanda Lowe, Director of Missions & Justice, if you’re interested.
• Most-needed foods:
  Spaghetti sauce, noodles, macaroni and cheese, canned chicken, peanut butter, soup, boxed crackers, cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, powdered milk, and snack foods. Please do not donate items in glass jars.

Trinity is very generous supporting our food insecurity mission partners. One of our VBS mission projects this summer was creating S’more Packs and they were a big hit! Another member consistently brings fresh eggs to the pantry.

Thank you for continuing to support this vital ministry and helping Trinity put our faith into action.

FREE 2 TEACH SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE: Month of August & September

Teachers are a vital part of our church and community. Free 2 Teach aims to provide teachers with all kinds of school supplies at no cost to them. We have the opportunity to give back in joyful service and support local educators. In honor of Free 2 Teach, we will collect school supplies throughout the months of August & September. Place the supplies by September 27 in any of the Mission Bins located throughout Trinity. Find the supply list HERE. Questions? Contact Amanda Lowe, Director of Missions & Justice.

MORRIS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TUTORING . Starting September

Have a heart for helping kids? Volunteer to tutor elementary students in reading & math. Your support will help students build strong foundational skills and boost their confidence. Commit just 1 hour per week tutoring 3rd graders on Mondays from 2:45-3:45 beginning in September. For more info or to sign up, contact Doug Seay.

HELP RESTOCK ESSENTIAL SUPPLIES FOR 8TH STREET

8th Street Community provides personal care and household supplies for residents in its four homes and they're running low on several everyday essentials: laundry detergent, dish detergent, 13-gallon trash bags, multi-purpose cleaner, body wash. Brand and size do not matter—every donation makes a difference. If you'd like to help, consider dropping these items in the lobby bins.

MEALS TO GROW PACKS! . September 9, October 14

 Want to join a fun group of faithful servants who pack food bags for children at four elementary schools who are in danger of food insecurity on the weekends? Join us at 6 pm in Room 194. DIAPER DROP OFF FOR AMELIA'S CLOSET AND FOOD BANK OF NORTH ALABAMA

We are proud to serve as a vital diaper drop-off location, inviting all to come together in this important effort. As we partner with The Food Bank of North Alabama and Amelia’s Closet, we recognize the urgent need for diapers and wipes, which has reached unprecedented levels. Diapers and wipes can be dropped into bins throughout the church. Please consider contributing to this new and vital ministry. 

FIRST STOP BREAKFAST

First Stop provides a path from homelessness to independent, sustainable living. You can help by preparing and/or serving breakfast every 3rd Monday and 1st Wednesday of the month.Sign up to help with breakfast on Trinity days:
