Dear Trinity Family & Friends:

I am grateful for the many stories and testimonies that have been shared with me during this sermon series on “What We Value.” Our Trinity DNA is a powerful witness to the power of God at work in the lives of those connected to our church and ministry. This week, we will continue to explore our values and discuss another facet of Trinity’s ministry – service. This sermon will be based on the scripture passage Matthew 25:31-40 (CEB), a powerful passage that underscores the importance of serving others, both within our church community and beyond. This passage reminds us that our faith is not just about what we believe, but also about how we live out those beliefs through acts of service.

As we explore this passage together, we will discuss practical ways in which we can engage in acts of service, both big and small, and how these acts reflect our love for God and our neighbors. I will also highlight Isaiah 58:6-12 (CEB) and Philippians 2:1-11 (CEB), which reminds us that true worship and devotion to God is reflected in our actions towards others, especially the marginalized and downtrodden and that in serving them, we will find our own healing and restoration. As part of the Trinity Family, we are committed to living out the teachings of Jesus in tangible ways, and this sermon will challenge and inspire us to make service a priority in our lives.
