4.24.22 (Both) New Beginnings

JOEL 2:28-32, ACTS 10:9-16, 34-35, 44-48

Last week, we celebrated the holiest of holy days in our Christian tradition, Resurrection Sunday. This is the day we proclaim with trumpets and the Hallelujah chorus that Christ has overcome death and lives forever within your heart and mine. It is a day of joy, power and praise, for sure... at least for those who came to church on Sunday morning. But what about those that didn't? Is the triumphant good news of Easter still good news for them?

On Sunday, we will look to the scriptures: Traditional: (Joel 2:28-32, Acts 10:9-16, 34-35, 44-48 ; Cross Connect: The Story, Ch 28: New Beginnings, pp 402-403, Acts 10:9-16, 34-35, 44-48) to see what God was up to in the months after the Resurrection and consider what that means for us today. And here's a hint... God was and continues to be up to A LOT!
