Discipleship at Trinity is how we explore the depths of who God is, who God created us to be, and how we become that person. When we engage with Discipleship, we experience how Christ pursues us through scripture and community to transform the world through us. At Trinity we have many ways you can participate in discipleship this semester.  Check out our class listings below and  sign up!

RESOURCE-BASED STUDIES

SUNDAY EVENING GROUPS

CHASING THE WIND: Faithful Living in the Book of Ecclesiastes
Facilitated by Krista James
Sundays 5:30-7 pm, Meet @ Trinity, Room 268
11 weeks | Now-November 9 (includes a few breaks)

What does it mean to live faithfully in a world that often feels fleeting and uncertain? In this 11-week study based on The Bible Project’s exploration of Ecclesiastes, we’ll wrestle with the deep questions of meaning, purpose, time, and joy. Far from being a book of despair, Ecclesiastes invites us into honest reflection and a grounded faith rooted in the eternal presence of God. Through guided videos, scripture, creative elements, and spiritual practices, we’ll seek wisdom for living well - right here, right now.

INSPIRED: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again
Facilitated by Pastor Carrie Jones
Sundays 5:30-7 pm, Meet @ Trinity, Room 266
11 weeks | Now-November 9 (includes a few breaks)

What is the Bible - really? Is it a science book, an instruction manual, or something deeper and more mysterious? In this thought-provoking study based on Rachel Held Evans’ bestselling book Inspired, we’ll explore the complexities of Scripture and what it means for the Bible to be inspired. Through storytelling, poetry, questions, and honest wrestling, Evans invites us to engage with Scripture not as a closed book of answers, but as a living conversation with God. Join us as we reexamine beloved Bible stories, confront tough passages, and discover how Scripture can still speak to us today with beauty, conviction, and hope.

THE SUM OF US: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together
Facilitated by Amanda Lowe
Sundays 5:30-7 pm, Meet @ Trinity, Room 190
11 weeks | Now-November 9 (includes a few breaks)

Based on Heather McGhee’s groundbreaking and deeply personal bestseller, The Sum of Us explores how racism - rooted in policy, economics, and culture - harms us all. With clarity, compassion, and insight, McGhee challenges the zero-sum thinking that pits people against each other and casts a hopeful vision of solidarity, shared prosperity, and healing. Through stories, research, and rich conversation, this group will reflect on the real costs of division and the transformative power of working together across racial lines. Join us for an honest and hopeful journey toward a more just and connected community.
