Congregational Care

Congregational Care is a blessed area within Trinity and helps our members when their needs are great.    Members in Ministry and several groups within Trinity help in this special effort where our clergy can not possibly attend to all areas.   We need additional help from church members who would like to consider caring for others in need.

Stephen Ministry

In Matthew 25, Jesus says, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in..."Stephen Ministry

We have may opportunities to respond to Jesus' great love by showing that love to others. Stephen Ministry is one way our congregation shows that love to people who have deep needs for care. You also have many opportunities to show Jesus' love during the week. As you encounter people this week try asking yourself, "How can I show them Jesus today?"

Manna Ministry

When the Hebrews were wandering in the wilderness, they began to complain about having nothing to eat.  And God sent manna—bread from heaven—to sustain them (Exodus 16).  When God’s people feared that God had abandoned them, God sent them food to nourish them and also to remind them of God’s presence with them.  Every time they sat down to a meal of the bread that God had provided, they were assured that God had not forgotten them.

Elise Moss established the Manna Ministry as a result of the comfort, love and sustenance she felt during her struggle with cancer.  Manna Ministry seeks to ensure that Trinity members and friends who do not have small groups, such as Sunday School classes, UMW Circles, and Bible study groups, to support them in times of need would also know God’s presence and love in the form of a simple casserole.

We need your help in two ways:

First, if you are aware of someone who would appreciate a Manna casserole, please let us know.  These could be people who:
     ·
Are returning home after a hospital stay or surgery
     ·
Suffering from a long-term or chronic illness
     ·
Caring for a sick loved one
     ·
Grieving the loss of a loved one
     ·
Celebrating the birth of a new child.

Second, we need people to help with the Manna ministry.  This includes people who are willing to:
     ·        Donate a casserole for the freezer
     ·        Deliver food from time to time
     ·        Donate money for necessary items

You are invited to be a part of the Manna ministry.  If you have any questions, please give us a call.
