Mitchell Williams

Senior Pastor

Mitchell was raised in Birmingham. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University (Theater) and a Masters of Theology from Southern Methodist University. He and his wife Jodi — whom he adores — have two grown sons (Charlie, currently serving Marine special ops intelligence, and Drew, an engineer) who both adore their wives and have three children each. (All of whom are above average in every way!)

Mitchell has pastored for thirty-five years which included two previous churches in Huntsville, churches in Decatur and Cullman, and starting a congregation in Birmingham.

Thanks to his Christian parents, Mitchell has always known himself to be a part of Christ’s kingdom. But he is especially sensitive to how winsome the Church and the Gospel is to those who do not know the love of Christ, who don’t see the value in it, or who have been hurt by a church in their past.

Mitchell is dedicated to helping people grow in their trust of God, grow in their following of Jesus, and grow in their openness to the Spirit to be transformed. He grows personally from interaction with many different people and he is excited about being a part of the ministry at Trinity.
