Trinity: We are the Love of Christ in Action
At Trinity we serve others to make disciples for Christ. We do this through 3 areas:
Serve: building a handicap ramp, tutoring, helping pay utilities, providing food, a mission trip and much more.
Engage: gathering with others to learn, have fun, and building relationships.
Worship: worshipping together to nourish our faith to go out and serve.
The idea of Trinity was started in the late 1950’s by three NASA engineers talking around a water cooler one day about the need for a church in a new part of Huntsville. We began in Fifth Avenue School downtown, grew rapidly and opened at our current location a few years later. Our innovative spirit created Trinity, and our members helped start two other United Methodist churches in south Huntsville, began innovative social justice and interfaith programs that exist today. In 1989, a devastating tornado damaged Trinity, resulting the structure where we gather today.
