Trinity provides 180 children at University Place Elementary with a bag of food every week. Over 90% of the children at this school qualify for free lunch. Meals to Grow volunteers assemble bags of food for children identified by the school as being at high risk for hunger. On Fridays, the bags are discretely placed in the children’s backpacks, providing them food when other resources may not be available. Volunteers pack over 700 bags of food a month.
